Well the painting is almost finished. The floor is complete and ready to mooo it's way into the hearts of our Creative Cubers. We are so excited about the Home school Expo in June to debut the finished product.
I must admit I thought these little polka dots would only take 5 minutes. 1.5 hour later I finally got them exactly the way I was hoping. Missed a fun bike ride with William and the kids but once the dust settles this will be worth it.
I was speaking with one of the young Taiwanese exchange students that stayed with our family a few years back today. He sent me a few pictures of his family and how he looks now. I was shocked I did not even recognize him in the picture. He was not a little kid anymore he had grown into a young man.
This got me thinking about my own children and family. Boy does time fly or what. I know you hear it all the time from people older then you how fast their lives went bye. The trouble is you don't really pay much attention to them when your young, dumb and think your invincible. I am sitting here tonight looking around at my life and once again am realizing just how blessed I really am. Last Sunday our pastor said something to me that really hit home as well. WE ARE ALL RICH. I know most of us say this is not so but think about it. We live in a country of plenty. Plenty of shopping, coffee shops, movie theaters food, water etc. Do ever just sit back and think about your life. In North America we are in the very small percentage of human beings that are truly blessed to live here. Even if we have no money there are outreach services to help. Not one person in North America is really poor. Even that tiny check you receive is more money then someone in a third world country would make in a whole year. Quite possibly in their entire lifetime. Just to taste Fresh Clean drinking water is unimaginable to so many across this planet.
Tonight as I sit here and my children have gone to bed. I am thankful that God has blessed my family to be here at this moment, healthy, happy, and maybe not money rich but yes RICH in all ways. I am searching myself and am being reminded to stop for just a moment in time and to smell the roses.
I received a video from my mom tonight as well. It drew tears to my eyes in a happy way. It is a video of my now 7 year old daughter doing a dance along with her then favorite person Dora the Explorer. I can remember a time thinking if this Dora thing was ever going to end. Everything she thought about and talked about was Dora. Well, I blinked and poof she is now so big and I know that she isn't going to go back to that little curly haired cutie, she is only going to grow and mature into a beautiful young woman. So again I urge you try, try to slow down once in awhile. Why are we always so busy rushing around? What for? What is the point? If we never have anytime to enjoy all the hard work.
Anyways here is the video. Sorry it is on the side but that is how I received it. It makes me giggle ENJOY.....
1 Corinthians 7:29 Let me say this my dear brothers and sisters. The time that remains is very short.
Well here it is our first art session from Creative Cube Mobile Studio. This time Kierra and I thought it would be fun to do the very first project together. David decided to join us in the last step. We did it in short video skits so you can see each step one by one. You will also be able to see the finished product inside Creative Cube where this piece will find its future home.
I would love to hear what you think, so please feel free to leave a comment.
Well TimberCraft Woodworking began construction on the guts of Creative Cube this past Sunday. I am so excited to see what work of art Sean comes up with when everything is all finished.
Sean had some help with the build, both my men were hard at work getting down to business creating the perfect fun station for the future cubers. Although there is still a few more Sundays until completion I am starting to see my dreams come to life. So much fun building and working while the heat was 30 degrees outside. Good thing for air conditioners. Only trouble is it's not hooked up yet. So little to say William was looking like he just stepped out of the shower, poor guy. They did a great job though, and I made some nice dinner or them when it was all finished.
Never be lazy, but work hard and serve the Lord enthusiastically.
Well my mom and I started painting today. It turned into a whole day project, but I am soooooo excited about how it turned out. We still have another coat or two to make it perfect but wow we sure work our tails off and got down to business. We had so much fun watching this come together today. THANKS MOM you rocked today.
Well I did it, I drove the trailer home with not even so much as me crossing over the yellow line. I am very happy and proud of myself. No fear. Well next we are onto the interior design portion. I will post my video and keep you updated. Have a safe and peaceful night
Well today is the big reveal from Daryl at Vancouver Car Wraps. All I can say is amazing. Those guys over there are awesome. He was so quick and delivered the finished product in absolute beauty. I love, love, love my new decals. The trailer is so bright and happy. It is everything I could have ever asked for. This is a very exciting day for us. Thank you so much. Worth ever penny. I will definatly be going back to get my truck done to match the trailer.
Here are the a couple short videos Kierra and I took when we arrived at Vancouver Car Wraps to see the trailer for the first time.
So now the only thing to do is wait for William to get home so I can go and bring the trailer back. I left it there. I am not ready to drive all by myself just yet. I will be driving it home tonight though. Of course with big daddies help and guidence.
Some fun thoughts we had I think will be great fun for families and your little ones.
A couple times a month my babies Kierra and David will do their own blogging. Only we are going to do some fun 5 minute crafts and science experiments. They will rotate or work together, video blogging on mini how to's, to get other families creating in their own homes. We hope you will enjoy these little gifts extended to you from our family to yours.
7 years old,
Loves to dance, and do gymnastics. She has been dancing since she was 3 and started in an interclub gymnastics team last September. She Loves it. Kierra is in grade 2 but as of last week is all finished. She is a very smart and determined young lady. God created Kierra with a gentle and soft heart. She feels empathy for others and is a great friend. Kierra can't wait to get started on grade 3 May 1, 2013
She swims in the summer, and loves to hang out with all her friends. She is creative and crafty and is looking forward to sharing with others some of the great things she learns through art and science on her video blog.
4 years old
He is the next BMX racing champion. From the moment he saw motorcross racing on TV, this little dare devil couldn't wait to get started on his bike. He learned to ride 2 wheels last summer before he turned 4, and hasn't looked back since. This April David got his very own racing license and race bike. He is so cute. His first race at Action BMX in Surrey, BC was pretty exciting. He won 2/3 races. GO DAVID GO. He is also a video gamer expert. He shows his mom and dad a thing or two about what to do. His favorite games are anything superhero, and lego. David is definately our family clown he makes everyone laugh and has the sense a humour of an adult at times. This is from his dad's side forsure. I am not sure how often we will get David to contribute but it will be funny to see what hapens.
Welcome to my very first Blog and look into the starting process of Creative Cube Mobile Studio. What I thought might be neat to do is take little video clips of the start up process as we venture into completing the studio. I will update a few times a week to tell you the ups and downs of what we are doing.
William (husband) and I picked up the shell of a trailer from Allparts trailer sales. WOW! Was all I thought when I finally got to see my new baby. It is not small that is forsure. 30 ft sounds like nothing until you actually hook it up and start driving down the road.
We made it home no hickups. Well I should say my superman of a husband drove that beast like he was flying a kite at the beach. So it was nothing for him, but if I had to pick it up on my own I most likely would have taken out three telephone poles and our poor neighbours mailbox. So Thanks William, for taking the day off.
William and I primed the inside. We took the trailer from naked wood to flat white in about 3 hours. We could have done it in 2 but we didn't feel like passing out from fume exposure. Smelly, primer was not my favorite part so far. Lucky when we finally get to paint with all the colours of the rainbow the paints are much easier on us and the environment.
With paint stained hands, faces and hair whiter then Santa, we decided to pass on cooking so what better thing to fill our hungry bellies then a roasted chicken from Costco and a pre-made salad. Can I get a YUMMY...
Church, a nice drive around town and lunch at Grandma Wanda's. William decided I should take my first crack at moving the trailer.
So we waited till it was completly pitch black out, this way if I hit something know one would know it was little old me ;). (just Kidding) I bought insurance we are all good.
I jumped into my big Ford F350 Lariet, threw that puppy into reverse and backed up. I was so happy I only had to take 3 stabs at getting the hitch lined up. From the first try I was pretty darn close. I hooked it up so it wouldn't vear off in the opposite direction when my love drove it to the decal place at 5AM Monday morning.
Then I pulled out of the driveway trailer, truck and my fearless 5ft 3in self. Drove 10ft then did everything else in reverse. I parked it in front of our neighbours house all ready to go first thing Monday morning.
I really wanted to get up this morning at 4:45AM with William, but due to the fact that my eyes weighed more then the trailer, I am sure this is true. It was just not possible. I did though all cozy and warm in my bed, say goodbye to my amazing husband. He got up brushed his teeth and started out driving Creative Cube trailer to Vancouver Car Wraps to get wrapped and beautified. This is so exciting. I know that the owner, Daryl will do an amazing job on wrapping my baby.
Poor William didn't get the chance to come home and cuddle with me for a minute. As I received a call at 5:45, asking me to make him a lunch because he had to get to work asap.
Well there you have it that is where we are right now. I have some videos to get up in the next day or so. I only prey that everything goes smooth and bumpless. But again the mountains we face in life are what gives us strength, and builds character. Until next time have a wonderful day.
We can rejoice. too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. And endurance develps strength of character.
